Motivational Speaking

I’ve been out of the game for over 30 years now and it’s really hard to believe. As I look back over these 30+ years, I see a journey that has ebbed and flowed through good days, bad days and ugly days. And in it all I have learned some amazing lessons. And to think that it all started with being a major league baseball player and God providing a platform through baseball to continue to tell the story for as long as I have. I am humbled to say the least, and it brings me great joy to be able to share some of the thoughts, lessons, and experiences of my life in hopes of bringing some encouragement into yours. I have often been asked how many times have you changed your message? I can honestly tell you that I have basically been sharing the same story for over 30 years, and I count it a privilege and an honor to be given the opportunity to do that. The one thing over all these years that has stuck with me is this statement, and it’s at the center of my story. “ it’s not what you do that matters most, but who you are, and when you understand who you are, it will affect everything you do!

Drawing from my own personal experience, I address topics of:

  • success versus significance
  • encouragement through adversity
  • the power of “team”
  • the value of trust in relationships
  • discovering your true worth
  • unlocking the significance of ‘team’ in life
  • and much more!
